Dry Hire

A dry hire starts at 10am on the first day of hire, and is taken until 10am of the ending day of hire. Equipment is to be collected from our warehouse premises on the agreed date, and returned to the same location on the ending day.

Dry hire rates are based per night, 2x nightly hire rate applies for a weekend hire. Example: Starting at 10am on Friday and equipment is to be returned no later than 10am Monday morning.

4x nightly hire rate applies for a week hire. Example: Starting at 10am on Monday and equipment is to be returned no later than the following Monday by 10am.

A 75% deposit may be required before the hire of equipment commences. Photographic evidence and proof of address may also be required before equipment is released to the Hirer.

Upon agreement of Dry Hire, it is the responsibility of the Hirer to arrange Public Liability Insurance and sufficient Equipment Insurance for any equipment included in the hire.

All equipment will be thoroughly checked and tested before an agreed term of hire commences. Equipment will also be checked and tested when returned, the Hirer will be held responsible for any damage caused to hired equipment whether malicious or accidental.

Equipment requiring repair will be charged, to the Hirer, at £25 per hour (minimum of 1 hour) for labour, plus replacement parts at cost price. This may affect your position to hire from KCFX Limited on future dates.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

Wet Hire

A wet hire from KCFX Limited includes all equipment and any accessories required for your event, along with sufficient engineers.

For larger systems and events held above ground floor, e.g. An upstairs conference room at a Hotel, a service lift, capable of handling a minimum of 100kg, must be provided for transportation of equipment.

It is your duty as Hirer to inform KCFX Limited of any stairs, access ramps or obstructions around loading areas.

Engineer Hours

Engineers from KCFX Limited are booked for a maximum number of hours per day. If an event extends over these hours, the additional hours will be charged at 2x the normal engineer hire rate.

Unless previously agreed, in writing, any hours worked after 3am will incur an extra day hire for engineers and crew with a minimum of 6 hours.

Travel & Transportation

KCFX Limited will travel nationwide to provide equipment for all types of event or application. It is important to note the events not local to our warehouse premises will be charged extra for transportation, these charges will be included on any quotation recieved from us before the event.

For KCFX Limited to be able to provide an accurate quotation we will require a full UK address, including postcode for the event.

Any toll charges, congestion charges, ferry charges or air fares will also be charged to the Hirer, unless otherwise stated.
